The
Heroes of Denton County is a non-profit, charitable organization
incorporated under the laws of the State
of Texas. It
exists to respond within twenty four (24) hours with emergency funds to
the family, or families, of any Law Enforcement Officer or Firefighter
from any department within Denton County
who loses their
life, or suffers serious injury in the line of duty.
That response will mean that the family, or families, of our fallen
heroes will not have to endure the pain of instant financial peril while
at the mercy of their unrelenting grief.

|
The Heroes of Denton County represents the arms of our entire
community reaching out to embrace the families of those individuals who
daily put their lives in harm’s way to protect us and by doing so may
one day be asked to make the ultimate sacrifice. |
|
We
all hope that “day” will never come.
We all know that some day, it will.
When it does, grief will wash across the entire county one heart at a time.
On that day, we will all want to do something to help, however it
is within those first overwhelming hours that the family, or families,
involved will be in the greatest need.
|
|
Through ‘Heroes’, all of us will be there, precisely when we
are needed most.
It is for that dreadful day we all pray will never come, that we
must prepare.
September 11th
compels us to prepare.
